An Academic Thanksgiving: American sin and Nazi founders

-by Geoff Caldwell-

Had the little exchange to the left with a fellow conservative on Thanksgiving afternoon. To millions of Americans, the joke and sarcasm embedded in those tweets is just that: joke and sarcasm.

BUT to those that are forced to navigate life with an amount of gray matter smaller than what is found in the average toad, it was a sacrilege.

A prime, in your face example of American gluttony, selfishness and insensitivity towards others who have “diverse” points of view. A perfect example of the “angry white male” who is so blinded by his hate and so ignorant in his faux “patriotism” that he would “attack” others merely for holding a view “diverse” from his. A testament to the imperialistic “American exceptionalism” that has cursed the world since 1776.

To my critics I answer, yep, yep, agreed, and not just yes, but HELL YES!

Those of us out here in the “red” part of America still use our brains for more than just following blindly the daily marching orders of the proletariat. And part of that “use” is coming up with snarky, humorous, comments that strike back at said marching orders and the lunacy that has become the liberal left in America today.

Just where in the heck is all this leading?

Straight to the great state of Texas and the perfect example of how even in the best of the best of states, there is no escaping the cancer that has enveloped university after university across this great land.

The cancer that replaces critical thought and individual thinking with political correctness and indoctrination.

The cancer that takes an otherwise perfectly normal, healthy brain and turns it into a pile of mush projecting forth a “mentality” that drives those of us with more than the “toad” level of gray matter absolutely bat crazy.

The “host” cancer cell today is one Robert Jensen, a “progressive’s progressive”. A fly of flies in the giant terd pile that is the American left today.

And as Dain Gainor over at CNSnews points out, yet another member of the Academic elite perfectly willing to re-write history to force its conformity into the socialist box. Oh no,comrade Jensen is not your average, run of the mill lefty, no sir, he’s a bona fide “journalist professor” at the University of Texas, Austin.

So just what pray tell did such an esteemed “intellectual” offer forth on the eve of Thanksgiving? A treatise of “thanks”, or perhaps a reflection of the myriad of contributions America has made throughout her history? Not a chance. Remember this is Austin, Texas, this is academia, this is the epicenter of “Bush is a moron and any and all problems in the world today are all HIS fault”.

Comrade Jensen stuck with the conformity to script and as per highlighted his ass rather than his brain.

Opening with:

One indication of moral progress in the United States would be the replacement of Thanksgiving Day and its self-indulgent family feasting with a National Day of Atonement accompanied by a self-reflective collective fasting.

Continues on:

Not only is the thought of such a change in this white-supremacist holiday impossible to imagine, but the very mention of the idea sends most Americans into apoplectic fits — which speaks volumes about our historical hypocrisy and its relation to the contemporary politics of empire in the United States.

Prattles about:

Simply put: Thanksgiving is the day when the dominant white culture (and, sadly, most of the rest of the non-white but non-indigenous population) celebrates the beginning of a genocide that was, in fact, blessed by the men we hold up as our heroic founding fathers.

Then there’s this gem:

How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?

And closes with:

As Americans sit down on Thanksgiving Day to gorge themselves on the bounty of empire, many will worry about the expansive effects of overeating on their waistlines. We would be better to think about the constricting effects of the day’s mythology on our minds.

One could ask how the University of Texas could publish such a narrow and twisted view of American history but Jensen was at least smart enough to hide behind every socialist’s favorite protector and published not in any UT publication but in the George Soros land of

White supremacy, historical hypocrisy, Nazi’s, mythology of history, area all phrases and words I’ve certainly heard before.

But I remember them as coming not from American journalism professors but from other great contributors to the human condition:

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, and the most recent of the “greats” Mohamed Morsi of Egypt’s “Muslim Brotherhood” merry band of patriots.

I must confess, I will NEVER understand the machination of the far left mind. But “thankfully” there were a few brave and hardy souls 392 years ago that started the whole process so I don’t have to.

If the America Jensen so easily loves to hate, was truly founded by those truly as evil as the Nazis, I wouldn’t even be writing this column for there would be no column to expose.

Jensen’s destructive and divisive propaganda would have long ago been removed from society.

Not from the normal editing and deletion procedure or from just general exposure of such a maniacal thought process, but from the age-old Nazi way: HE himself would have been long ago removed.

It’s not that I wish ill or harm upon the Jensen’s of the world. I just wish they would be looked at more for what they are rather than the myths they promote about themselves: IDIOTS who deserve societal scorn.

While I absolutely support their right to speak and write such filth, I also firmly suggest that said cancer of thought should not be allowed the privilege of injecting itself into the minds of young Americans at taxpayer expense.

No, I’m not advocating censorship, just a little common sense.

We think nothing of punishing an idiot that would falsely yell “FIRE” in a crowded theatre, yet we do nothing to idiots like Jensen who start fire after fire of falsehoods and hate across our entire society?

I’m certainly no rocket scientist but that just doesn’t add up in ANY math book. (Not even the first grade one that Obama uses.)

Which brings me to closing this column with one additional question. A question I don’t have the answer to, but a question we all need to be pondering more:

Why is it that “progressives” feel they can only “progress” by “reverting” to hate?

  1. Since our family descended from two prominent Mayflower families who participated in the first Thanksgiving, we are offended by Jensen’s remarks. And since it is politically incorrect to offend others, Jensen should be placed in stocks for a week or two. We love America’s founders who endured tremendous hardship and faced horrendous hazards in taming this primitive land. Perhaps Jensen would enjoy being scalped, but we prefer sitting down with natives to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner. God bless America. God blessed the Mayflower pilgrims.

Thanks to Geoff and to The Red Pill for holding on to sanity in the middle of this asylum.

  2. Great article. Isn’t it maddening that these morons think that when belittling America and “exposing” Her for what they see as the real America, that they have the moral high ground. Here’s another little sarcastic one for you. If God didn’t want us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat? That ought to get Jensen worked into a frenzy.
