Ever since Obama decided to cowboy up and ride to the rescue of his damsel in distress Susan Rice over GOP attacks, feminists have crawled out of the woodwork to bash those mean old white men who would dare pick on a lady, even going as far as saying the attacks “smack of sexism and racism.”
As if this wasn’t absurd enough, an article I read recently included this brilliant observation.
“All of the things they have disliked about things that have gone on in the administration, they have never called a male unqualified, not bright, not trustworthy,” said Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, the next chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus. “There is a clear sexism and racism that goes with these comments being made by unfortunately Sen. McCain and others.”
Utter BS, people have been screaming from the rooftops for four years that Obama is unqualified, not bright, and not trustworthy so this is a lie.
“To batter this woman because they don’t feel they have the ability to batter President Obama is something we the women are not going to stand by and watch,” said Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis. “Their feckless and reckless speculation is unworthy of their offices as senators.”
Again, BS. People batter Obama all the time despite the fact that his pleas to “bring it on” never lead to anything but lies, stonewalling, and buck passing. Also love the use of the word “batter” which is nothing more than an attempt to rile up the war on women zombies. Well, thanks to this comment, the credibility of Gwen Moore has been reduced to less than zero, way to pick ‘em Wisconsin. This woman obviously feels it is more than acceptable to lie on the job, shirk responsibility, and blame others for her inevitable failings. You know, qualities not worthy of the office of a [white male Republican] Senator but a-otay for a fairer sex State Representative from the land of cheese and birthplace of the American progressive Socialist movement.
A very astute person I follow on Twitter said this morning,
“Dear Democrats, This is why Your idea of Feminism is bullshit. It is acceptable to question Susan Rice, its expected with the Job she has.”
She is right to a point but what people are overlooking is that this has nothing to do with sexism or racism at all and liberals know it. Any and all Democrats, as well as their media propagandists, are fully aware that Ms. Rice went on Sunday talk shows and perpetuated a lie. Regardless of whether she is black, white, female, male, or whatever, this is unacceptable for someone in her position to do. So, in order to fight the justifiable and necessary GoP outrage, liberals deflected by going after the character of the “attackers”.
I am kind of old school when it comes to stuff like this so forgive me if what I’m about to say sounds sexist. People in positions of power and influence are required to tell the truth, exude competence, and know the facts, all of them, surrounding situations they are speaking about, women are not exempt.
As a man, it’s hard not to want to take care of women, to look after them, and to want to rush to their defense, I think this has a lot to do with biology or a provider instinct so men who are guilty of such behavior are, more than likely well meaning. That being said, many women don’t need it, don’t ask for it, don’t want it, and appear weak when they ask for it, appear to want it, and get it.
A man rushing to the aid of someone who could likely be the next Secretary of State (fourth in the line of succession to the Oval Office) is every kind of wrong I can imagine. How is it, such a person can be expected to stand up to world leaders, to be the voice of America worldwide, and make decisions that can significantly impact the safety and security of over 400 million people? Woman or not, SoS is not a job for a weak person who cannot stand on their own two legs against criticism over sub-standard job performance.
And finally from ABC non-news,
“The Democratic women also contrasted McCain and Graham’s criticism with their defense of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who had warned of weapons of mass destruction in pressing for war in Iraq that killed more than 4,400 Americans. No weapons of mass destruction were found.”
Odd how the racist and sexist men rallied behind another black woman, huh? This has nothing to do with racism or sexism at all. This is a dozen elected officials who have openly condoned lying and the use of unsubstantiated attacks on political enemies to divert attention away from incompetence, [alleged] corruption, cover-ups, and murder. Pathetic and sad don’t do justice to what is going on here.
