This past weekend, my husband and I took our 12-year-old son to a movie. We didn’t go to Batman or Paranorman. We went to 2016: Obama’s America. In an hour and 29 minutes, I learned more than I have in four years of watching the news.
The filmmaker, Dinesh D’Souza, has created an intelligently developed, researched, and written documentary that I believe–for the first time–provides real insight into what drives our President. This isn’t more birth certificate brouhaha. This is thought-provoking journalism that gives context to what is behind the President’s ideology. As in the case of every person, our past motivates our actions. This is true with the POTUS. His past and his family history—both real and what was created for him by his mother—has motivated many of the inconceivable things Obama has done as president.
Obama has a dream. It was handed down from his father. In much of the movie, the president’s own words and voice share that dream with us. It is a dream far different from the American dream shared by most Americans. It certainly isn’t the “American Dream.” It is critical that we understand the differences in those two dreams so we can make an intelligent and informed decision in November.
My Republican friends–skip Batman and the like and go see this movie. My Democratic friends, I hope you’ll take time to see this movie. If nothing else, you’ll finally understand why Obama holds positions that confuse and befuddle even you.
The last lines of the movie remind us that in 2008 we didn’t really know this man who now holds the most powerful office in the world. Now we do.
Please see this movie. Please take your teenagers to it. We have no prayer of raising children untainted by the political correctness and liberal ideology hurled at them from all sides if we don’t teach our children conservative values and have open and candid discussions with them about what is happening in our country. Protecting them from what is going on around them will only make them uncertain and confused.

Thanks for the review, Gladys! After watching the trailers, I’m dying to see the entire movie. I’ve added a link at the bottom that provides theater locations where this movie is showing in every state. I’ll be taking my teens, and inviting a neighbor or two, as well. Mr. D’Souza deserves to be rewarded for his efforts, so let’s all get out and support him with our wallets!
Posted by Red Pill Report | August 22, 2012, 4:54 amI saw this movie this weekend, as well. It’s a very well-done movie and I wish everyone who was voting this election was required to watch this first. Then they could choose exactly which America they want.
Posted by Janet | August 22, 2012, 8:01 amThe movie opens this weekend where we live. We will be supporting Mr. D’Souza. Here’s to a return to the America we love!
Posted by Cucciolo | August 22, 2012, 9:36 amWe will see this movie at our earliest opportunity. I am troubled at the number of people who do not wish to be troubled by the truth. They might as well say, “I am happy in my ignorance. I just want to place my HOPE in our Nanny government.” I’d like to scream at them, “Wake up!” Let us see a mass movement to see this revealing movie!
Posted by LDH/LMH | August 22, 2012, 10:35 amThank you, Gladys. We will definitely see this movie. It sounds like it will give us all a valuable education.
Posted by lundy | August 22, 2012, 3:07 pmi look forward to seeing this movie. thank you for the great review.
Posted by Leslie | August 27, 2012, 1:03 amWell, we saw this movie last weekend. What an eye-opening experience. No one knew anything about Obama in 2008. Please let there be enough people who see through him after 4 years of intentionally weakening our country. We have got to get him “in order to [preserve] a more perfect union.”
