The more I hear Allen West speak…the more I am convinced he is the kind of patriot we need serving in Washington.
Congressman West is a proud, unapologetic Constitutional Conservative that believes in the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility & discipline, and personal accountability. His highly-decorated life has been an example of these principles, and he serves now to fight for them within the walls of the US Congress.
Allen West is a black American who, unlike our current President, actually believes in the principles taught by Dr. Martin Luther King. I believe Dr. King would be proud of the man Allen West has become, just as I believe he would be ashamed of the way President Barack Obama has failed to live by any principles.
2008 was an historic year in the United States when the American people elected the first black President. What a shame this first wasn’t a man of character and honor. Congressman Allen West is the type of role model the black community needs. He is an example of what one can become by hard work and personal accountability, rather than giving in to the victim mentality preached by Barack Obama and so many of the so-called ‘black leaders.’
I don’t know who Mitt Romney will choose as his running mate. There are many good men and women that would be outstanding in that role. But I don’t believe he could do much better than having Allen West to stand with him against Barack Obama and Joe Biden. In a battle this important, I certainly know I would want Allen West standing beside me.
If you want a quick education on our Constitutional Republic, please watch the following video of Allen West’s 2012 CPAC speech.

Here are a few excerpts from the site:
Born and raised in the inner city of Atlanta, in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached, patriotism is in Congressman West’s blood.
“My father was proud of his own service, and believed that serving your country was the greatest of all honors,” West said. “Both of my parents taught me that it was not necessary to rely on a government handout to achieve my goals. They wanted me to believe in myself and told me that in America, with hard work, all things are possible.”
In November of 2010, Congressman West was honored to be able to continue his oath of service to his country when he was elected to be a Representative in the United States Congress.
“I have traded in my camouflage uniform for a suit,” West said. “But the commitment to protect the people of the United States is still my mission.”

Wow! Great article and great video. You should all watch this video…especially the end. “As for me and my family , we will serve God, we will serve this Constitutional Republic, we will serve America! Thank God, God bless you, God bless America! Steadfast and loyal!”
Posted by Spencer | July 13, 2012, 12:20 pmYes! Congressman West’s speech gets better and better throughout. This is not only a moral and decent man. This is not only a patriotic man who loves America. This man is a fighter…and that’s what the country (and Mitt Romney) needs!! Thanks for the response!
