Last month, as those of us on the right walked around with cautious perma-grins plastered on our faces after finally hearing legitimate questions asked about Obamacare (the 2,700 page Affordable Care Act)…a clearly shaken Obama let loose his inner-bully, and transformed from the soul-singing charmer into his all-too-familiar alter-ego, the Chicago Thug-in-Chief.
In what was clearly an attempt to intimidate the United States Supreme Court, the self-proclaimed
professor of constitutional law made several ill-conceived assertions about the role of the 3rd Branch of our Federal Government. His condescending statements were so over the top that it left rational Americans to conclude one of two things:
- Arrogant Barack Obama does not believe in the Constitutionally-established role of the Judicial branch of the Federal Government…and incorrectly views the other branches as somehow subordinate to his role (Executive branch).
- Ignorant Barack Obama does not understand the principle of ‘checks and balances’ relative to the three branches of government.
Either conclusions is alarming because it means our President is either a megalomaniac…or an idiot–neither of which bode well for a nation whose freedom and exceptionalism rely on the competence of our President to “faithfully execute the Office…and…to the best of [his] ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution….” Did the President’s words following the Supreme Court’s ACA hearings instill confidence that he took his oath seriously? Absolutely not. Instead, Obama’s behavior exposed an unchecked contempt for the Court’s Constitutionally granted ’final say’ on his beloved socialist program.
The so-called constitutional scholar was so off-base in his remarks that a 5th District Federal Court of Appeals Judge ordered Obama’s Department Of Justice to submit a 3-page ‘homework assignment’ meant to reassure the American people that our President did, in fact, recognize the authority of the US Supreme Court.
Considering Obama’s apparent lack of comprehension of the role of the three branches of government, is it any surprise that this “intellectual” will not release his college transcripts?
And now, as a public service for our befuddled President, I want to offer Schoolhouse Rock’s quick-and-easy explanation of the Three Branches of Government. I hope he’ll watch it. Maybe he can bring that big fat “F” up to a “C” by the end of his Presidency.
